A well-established commercial construction company is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to join their finance team on a part-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a reputable builder delivering high-profile projects, based in a convenient CBD location.
The Role
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end accounts payable function in a fast-paced construction environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Processing high-volume supplier invoices accurately and efficiently
- Matching purchase orders, invoices, and delivery dockets
- Managing supplier queries and maintaining strong vendor relationships
- Preparing and executing payment runs
- Reconciling supplier statements
- Assisting with month-end closing processes
- Maintaining accurate records within the finance system
- Proven experience in an Accounts Payable role, ideally within the construction industry
- Hands-on experience using construction-based financial software such as Jobpac, Procore, or Cheops
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage high-volume workflows
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work autonomously and meet deadlines
