Public Sector People are partnering with a local council in Melbourne’s northern suburbs to recruit an experienced Administration Officer to join the Maternal Child Health Department.
Hourly Rate: $37 per hour + super
Hours: 38 hours per week
Duration: ASAP start until 31st October 2025
Working Arrangement: Hybrid
As an Administration Officer, you will play a key role in supporting Maternal and Child Health services through timely and accurate administrative assistance. This includes handling client enquiries, scheduling appointments, managing data entry, and maintaining confidentiality in all client and council records.
Key responsibilities include:
- Deliver prompt and professional customer service to internal and external stakeholders using Maternal and Child Health (MCH) services
- Manage scheduling of client appointments across multiple MCH centres using council systems
- Respond to telephone and email enquiries efficiently
- Contribute to process improvements and uphold compliance with council policies and procedures
- Proven experience in high-volume administrative roles
- Knowledge of overall Maternal and Child Health Services
- Experience using Microsoft Office and other business software; familiarity with council systems (such as CDIS or similar) is advantageous
- Experience in making appointments within a customer service environment
- A collaborative and flexible approach to supporting team-based services
