This role offers the opportunity to contribute to transformative capital works projects that are shaping the future of transport and infrastructure in Northern Queensland. You'll be part of a close-knit Customer and Stakeholder Management team, helping drive strategic, transparent, and community-focused engagement efforts.
Responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Develop and implement communication and engagement strategies tailored to specific infrastructure projects
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, communities, and interest groups
- Prepare high-quality communication materials including newsletters, media releases, flyers, and construction updates
- Maintain and update project webpages and digital platforms (e.g., Social Pinpoint)
- Track and manage stakeholder feedback, correspondence, and issues using consultation management systems
- Provide responsive, on-the-ground support to ensure project information is delivered clearly, consistently, and proactively
- Previous experience in community engagement, stakeholder relations, or communications—ideally within infrastructure or government sectors
- Strong writing and digital communication skills, with an eye for detail and clarity
- The ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments with empathy and professionalism
- Organisational skills to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively
- A collaborative mindset and a genuine passion for community outcomes
