is recruiting for an AO5 Executive Assistant
on behalf of a State Government Department. This role is a temporary position through until December 2025, providing high-level executive and administrative support within a key leadership division.
About the Role
As the AO5 Executive Assistant, you will provide confidential executive and administrative support
to a senior Government office. You will act as the first point of contact for high-level correspondence, manage competing priorities, and liaise with senior stakeholders across the Department, other government agencies, and ministerial offices.
This role is ideal for an experienced Executive Assistant with previous Queensland Government experience who enjoys managing complex workflows and supporting senior executives in a fast-paced, high-profile environment.

- Coordinate the daily operations of the DDG’s office, including diary, correspondence, and workflow management.
- Prepare and review briefing materials, meeting papers, and Executive Council documentation.
- Organise meetings, events, travel, and stakeholder engagements for the ODDG.
- Manage administrative, human resource, and financial processes to ensure compliance with departmental policies.
- Liaise with senior officers, ministerial staff, and external stakeholders on behalf of the ODDG.
- Provide executive-level support including minute-taking, document management, and tracking of action items.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of systems and administrative processes within the division.
- Previous Queensland Government experience at AO5 level highly regarded.
- Proven experience providing high-level executive support to senior management or executives.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with a professional and confident manner.
- Advanced organisational and time management skills with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
- Experience using Content Manager (TRIM) or similar document management systems mandatory.
- Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and general administrative systems.
