Key responsibilities include:
- Developing creative design solutions that support stakeholder engagement, community awareness and organisational priorities
- Designing and producing a range of communication materials including brochures, publications, newsletters, presentations, displays, maps and advertising content
- Creating content across digital, social media, print and video channels
- Providing expert graphic design and visual communication advice to internal stakeholders and leadership teams
- Translating complex information into clear, engaging and accessible visual communications
- Ensuring all materials align with corporate branding, accessibility standards and government communication requirements
- Managing multiple projects and competing priorities to deliver outputs within tight deadlines
- Liaising with external suppliers including printers, photographers, videographers and creative agencies
- Collaborating with communication and stakeholder engagement teams to support strategic projects and campaigns
- Contributing to continuous improvement of design processes, standards and visual communication practices
- Demonstrated experience in graphic design, visual communications or creative services roles
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite including Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop and Premiere Pro
- Experience creating high-quality content across print, digital and multimedia platforms
- Strong understanding of branding, visual storytelling and design best practice
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively in a high-volume environment
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Experience working within corporate or government brand guidelines
- Knowledge of accessibility requirements and creating accessible documents is highly regarded
- Tertiary qualifications in Graphic Design, Visual Communication or a related discipline are desirable
- Previous Queensland Government or public sector experience will be highly regarded
- AO5-level contract opportunity with competitive hourly rate + Super
- 12-month temporary contract with potential extension
