Public Sector People  are working with a State Government Organisation based in Brisbane CBD who have seeking an AO5 Health Safety & Wellbeing Advisor to join their People, Capability and Culture team on a short term contract.

About the Role
The purpose of this role is to ensure the health, safety and wellbeing needs of the Department are met, and leaders are appropriately engaged in health safety and wellbeing. Reporting into the Principal Health Safety and Wellbeing Consultant (Safety), this role will provide specialist advice and support for coordinating Department-wide operational, safety and wellbeing functions and initiatives

The role:


  • Health Safety & Wellbeing Advisor – A05 equivalent
  • ASAP START | High Profile State Government Department
  • Pay up to $73.99 per hour + 12% super | Paid weekly!
  • Brisbane CBD | WFH up to two days per week
  • Initial contract 31st July June 2026 + extension
 
What you will be doing:


  • Running log management – administering the incident running log ensuring data quality and accuracy for WHS reporting, including executive-level reporting.
  • Mailbox management – ensuring timely responses and management of WHS-related correspondence.
  • Reporting – generating regular WHS reports for monitoring, decision-making and supporting transition to Integrum activities.
  • Supporting wellbeing communications – assisting with the delivery of wellbeing initiatives and communications to employees including the annual influenza vaccination program.
  • Review and update Health, Safety and wellbeing management policies, procedures and intranet content to provide current information to stakeholders.
