The Opportunity Public Sector People are partnering with a State Government Department to recruit an AO5 Project Advisor
for a long-term temporary contract through to September 2028.
This role is located in the Sunshine Coast.
This role is ideal for a professional with strong project administration and coordination skills, who enjoys supporting the successful delivery of significant government projects while working in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities As the Project Advisor, you will:
- Provide high-level project and administrative support to the Manager and project team
- Coordinate meetings, take minutes, and track actions and decisions
- Support risk and issue management, including the development of mitigation strategies
- Assist with tender and procurement processes
- Manage project documentation, reporting, and quality assurance activities
- Prepare briefing notes, reports, and submissions
- Undertake data analysis and project performance reporting
- Support project health checks, contractor surveillance, and compliance monitoring
- Provide oversight and support to project support staff when required
- Ensure project activities align with departmental policies, guidelines, and standards
- Demonstrated experience in project coordination or administration within complex environments
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Confidence in liaising with a range of stakeholders to achieve outcomes
- Previous government or large project experience (highly regarded)
