The role:
- AO5 Senior Work, Health & Safety Advisor - HR
- ASAP START | High Profile State Government Department
- Pay up to $79 per hour + 12% super
- Brisbane CBD
- Initial contract until August 28th + extension
What you will be doing:
- Provide operational and advisory support on workplace health, safety and wellbeing matters, including: Injury management and return to work, Psychosocial risk and wellbeing initiatives, WHS incident response and reporting, Interpretation of WHS legislation, policies and procedures.
- Support managers in managing employee health, safety and wellbeing matters, including coaching on obligations and practical solutions.
- Contribute to the implementation and continuous improvement of WHS programs, systems and processes, ensuring alignment with legislative and public sector requirements.
- Assist in monitoring and analysing WHS data to identify trends, risks and opportunities, and support evidence-based decision making.

- Strong knowledge and hands on experience across WHS/HR Legislation
- Strong communications skills and the ability to speak to senior leaders on Health, Safety and wellbeing matters.
- Ability to negotiate and apply conflict resolution skills to influence outcomes at all levels.
