This is a long-term temporary contract opportunity through to May 2027, working within a high-performing communications and engagement team on a complex and meaningful project that is gaining strong visibility across government strategy.
This role offers a unique blend of project coordination, user research, stakeholder engagement, and digital content development – ideal for someone who enjoys working across the full lifecycle of a project.
Key responsibilities include:
- Coordinating project activities, timelines and deliverables across research, digital, communications and campaign workstreams
- Supporting the planning and delivery of research and co-design activities (e.g. workshops, interviews, surveys, usability testing)
- Developing user-focused digital content and online resources using human-centred design principles
- Supporting stakeholder engagement, including coordination of workshops and collaboration with internal and external partners
- Contributing to the delivery of a targeted grassroots campaign
- Preparing project documentation including plans, reports, briefs, risk logs and updates
- Supporting governance, reporting and budget tracking activities
- Using insights and data to inform content development and improve user experience
- Collaborating across multidisciplinary teams to ensure cohesive and integrated project delivery
- Experience in a project, digital content or communications role (AO6 level or similar)
- Strong project coordination skills, with the ability to manage timelines, priorities and stakeholders
- Experience developing digital or web content with a user-first mindset
- Exposure to research, stakeholder engagement or co-design activities is highly regarded
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate insights into clear, accessible content
- Ability to work in a structured, process-driven environment with competing deadlines
- Proactive, adaptable and comfortable working in a fast-paced and evolving project environment
- Government experience or exposure to working with policy-driven projects is advantageous
- Interest in social impact, community outcomes or supporting vulnerable cohorts will be highly regarded
- Competitive AO6 hourly rate + Super
