As the Senior Finance Advisor (General Ledger & Financial Accounting), you will:
- Support the preparation of interim and 30 June financial statements, including working papers, schedules, and analytical reviews.
- Prepare and manage fortnightly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reconciliations, including payroll, PPLS, SuperStream, long service leave, and HRIS-related accounts.
- Lead controlled GL reviews, investigate variances, and ensure compliance with financial policies, accounting standards, and internal control frameworks.
- Complete journals, clearing accounts, and open item management activities within SAP S/4HANA.
- Contribute to Treasury/Tridata quarterly reporting and other financial submissions.
- Provide financial advice on PPLS, long service leave, adjustments, and refunds, and prepare clear correspondence for internal stakeholders.
- Drive process and control improvements by applying strong digital and analytical capability.
- Support business improvement initiatives, engage with stakeholders across regions and divisions, and contribute to a cohesive team environment.
You will thrive in this role if you bring:
- Demonstrated experience preparing or contributing to financial statements (interim or year-end) within a medium or large organisation.
- Strong skills in SAP S/4HANA, particularly in general ledger, reconciliations, journals, and open item management.
- A solid understanding of accounting standards, internal controls, reconciliations, and financial governance.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to investigate issues, interpret data, and provide informed, practical recommendations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex financial matters to non-finance stakeholders.
- High attention to detail, strong prioritisation skills, and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced reporting environment.
- A collaborative approach, stakeholder focus, and commitment to continuous improvement.
- A relevant qualification in Accounting/Finance; CPA/CA highly regarded.
