As the Senior Infrastructure Services Officer, you will be part of a dynamic team managing both planned and unplanned maintenance programs, focusing specifically on infrastructure such as swimming pools, roof safety systems, and fire hydrant hydraulics. You will also contribute to uplifting internal processes, contractor performance, and stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage complex infrastructure maintenance programs across Queensland education facilities.
- Coordinate planning, procurement, delivery, and commissioning of maintenance and capital works projects.
- Develop and implement efficient processes for project delivery and contractor management.
- Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including schools, early childhood providers, and contractors.
- Provide high-level advice and reports to senior management on infrastructure and asset management issues.
- Support team development through mentoring and knowledge sharing.
- Contribute to continuous improvement in service delivery and policy implementation.
Successful candidate
- Proven experience in infrastructure or facilities project management.
- Strong capability in managing diverse stakeholders and building effective working relationships.
- Ability to deliver results within legislative, budgetary, and time constraints.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to write clear, concise and sensitive reports and correspondence.
- A collaborative, solutions-focused approach with a passion for improving public infrastructure.
