Public Sector People is partnering with a State Government Agency to recruit a Senior Infrastructure Services Officer for a new Regional Housing Coordination Program. This program supports the management of subsidised government employee housing across Queensland.
About the role:
In this position you will provide dedicated property management and infrastructure support across a regional housing portfolio. You will act as the link between local housing activities and central housing and infrastructure functions, ensuring safe, compliant and effective services for government-provided accommodation.
This role directly contributes to reducing administrative pressure on frontline staff, improving compliance with tenancy legislation and supporting workforce attraction and retention in regional communities.

Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate tenancy and leasing activities including inspections, complex property matters and advisory support across the housing portfolio.
• Manage housing maintenance and repairs by liaising with QBuild and contractors and ensuring timely completion of works.
• Apply tenancy legislation, government policy and procedures to ensure consistent and compliant housing practices.
• Support the rollout and implementation of new housing systems, ensuring accurate data entry and process consistency.
• Provide high quality advice to internal stakeholders and regional leadership.
• Build strong relationships with local committees, industrial representatives and key regional stakeholders.
• Undertake administrative housing tasks to reduce workload for frontline or operational staff.
• Conduct research, analysis and evaluation to support infrastructure, planning and asset management improvements.
• Contribute to project teams involved in the design and implementation of programs and service improvements.
• Prepare briefs, reports, submissions and response material.
• Manage operational tasks within the team and prioritise workload to meet timeframes.
About You:
• Experience in property management, infrastructure services or government housing programs desirable
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills across regional or multi-site environments
• Ability to interpret legislation, policy and procedures
• High level written and verbal communication
• Confident working autonomously and within project teams
