Role Responsibilities and Key Duties:
As the Team Leader Financial Management, you will have responsibility for the following:
- Lead the Finance Business Partnering Group, overseeing the preparation, monitoring, and reporting for planning, budgeting cycles, and forecasting.
- Support the Manager by providing crucial inputs into Board reporting from an investment perspective.
- Conduct complex financial modelling and scenarios to understand the potential impacts of changes to investment profiles and actuarial projections.
- Provide expert business partnering to the enterprise project and program delivery team on all project accounting and finance functions.
- Deliver concise finance and budget-related papers and briefs for Executive meetings, Board meetings, estimates hearings, and management team meetings.
- Prepare comprehensive annual financial statements and budgets.
- Manage taxation activities and all related reporting obligations (e.g., FBT, BAS, GST, and payroll tax).
- Drive change and facilitate continuous improvement of the financial management system and processes, collaborating across the organisation to foster better practices, support digital strategy, and enhance customer experience.
- Maintain strong business relationships with key stakeholders, including investment partners, to ensure effective financial performance management and reporting, identifying opportunities to improve investment profiles.
- Manage the risk assurance statement process and collaborate on key strategies to mitigate strategic and cross-functional risks.
About You:
- Proven leadership experience in a finance environment.
- Extensive experience in Corporate Finance.
- Proficiency in innovative planning, budgeting, and forecasting tools.
- Demonstrated experience in preparing financial statements.
- Ability to drive change and facilitate continuous improvement of financial management systems and processes.
- Sound knowledge of legislation and standards pertaining to financial administration and accounting.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
- Familiarity with government or regulatory environments is advantageous.
- Experience with Business Central is highly desirable.
