Asset Management - Project Lead

This is a pivotal role where you’ll lead projects that support the ongoing maintenance, improvement, and integration of the councils facilities assets. You'll play a hands-on part in shaping how they manage and maintain their growing portfolio of assets into the future.
  
  
What You’ll Be Doing:
  

• Leading the integration of transferred assets into our systems and processes
• Developing asset maintenance and capital works programs
• Overseeing condition assessments and identifying data gaps
• Preparing a transitional database for a new enterprise asset management system
• Creating and implementing Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with internal customers
• Scoping and managing projects from planning through to delivery
• Building and maintaining clear, accurate asset records
• Supporting system testing and engaging staff in system and process changes
• Providing analysis and reports to inform strategic decisions and future planning
• Representing the program on asset management committees and working groups

• To be successful in this role, you'll bring:
• Qualifications in asset management or project management (highly regarded)
• Experience in facilities management, property, or local government
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to work with large data sets
• Knowledge of ISO55000/55001 standards for asset management
• Project management experience including planning, resourcing, scheduling, and reporting
• Confident communication skills – able to engage with a wide range of stakeholders
• Understanding of financial, risk, and contract management
• Technical knowledge of building maintenance and construction WH&S practices
• Proficiency with software tools including MS Office and asset or finance systems
• A current "C" class driver’s licence is essential
