Assistant Project Manager Renewable Energy (Australia)

Purpose
Support the Project Manager in advancing renewable energy projects through the development phase to Financial Close ensuring alignment with budget schedule and HSE objectives. This includes involvement in pre-construction activities such as liaising with councils planning consultants and network service providers as well as managing procurement activities with OEMs and contractors. Other responsibilities include overseeing site studies (e.g. geotechnical) BoP/EPC works contract administration stakeholder engagement and project reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in delivering utility scale renewable projects across planning development and pre-construction phases
- Provide support with contract administration and processing of payments invoices
- Liaise with external stakeholders including contractors consultants and regulators
- Support preparation of project documentation schedules cost tracking and risk registers
- Attend meetings site inspections and assist in tender evaluations
- Contribute to engineering coordination and oversight of subcontractors consultants
- Ensure compliance with commercial legal and HSE obligations
- Degree in engineering construction or project management (preferred)
- Prior experience on large scale renewable energy infrastructure projects
- Solid understanding of HSE and contract commercial management
- Strong interpersonal negotiation and time management skills
- Familiarity with project management tools and reporting systems
- Must have full Australian work rights and a current drivers licence
