A well-established and independently owned design and construction studio is seeking a BIM Lead with strong documentation skills to join their team in Melbourne. What You'll Be Doing:
BIM Management & Strategy
- Develop and maintain BIM execution plans, templates, and project-wide standards
- Lead the implementation of BIM workflows from early design through to construction documentation
- Set up and drive project-specific modelling strategies and coordination protocols
- Oversee BIM model production and quality control for interior fit-out projects
- Manage coordination of architectural and furniture models, clash detection, and spatial planning
- Develop detailed construction documentation in Revit, including GA plans, RCPs, joinery and construction details
- Ensure compliance with client briefs, project timelines, and industry standards
- Act as the BIM go-to across the studio
- Mentor and support the team in software use and best practice workflows
- Assist design teams with technical challenges and efficient BIM use throughout the project lifecycle
- Coordinate with external consultants, contractors, and clients on model exchanges and deliverables
- Lead BIM coordination meetings and implement updates to improve model accuracy and performance
- Stay across industry trends, new digital tools, and BIM-related plugins
- Continually refine processes to improve design efficiency and documentation quality
- A degree in Architecture or Interior Design
- 5+ years’ experience in a BIM-heavy role, ideally in commercial interiors
- Advanced Revit skills; proficiency in Enscape, and BIM 360
- Solid knowledge of construction methods, joinery detailing, and building codes
- Clear communicator with strong organisational and leadership abilities
- IFC experience, Dynamo scripting
