This is a fast-paced, hands-on role suited to someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys taking ownership of projects from concept through to construction documentation.
The Role
You’ll be responsible for producing and coordinating detailed architectural documentation across low-rise residential and project home developments, while working closely with internal teams, consultants, and offshore drafting resources.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce high-quality ArchiCAD documentation including plans, elevations, sections, and details
- Coordinate design information with consultants (structural, hydraulic, surveyors, planners, etc.)
- Review and update drawings based on feedback from stakeholders and construction teams
- Ensure all documentation aligns with Australian Standards & NCC requirements
- Liaise with and manage offshore drafting teams, providing mark-ups and direction
- Contribute to design development, including concept sketches and 3D models
- Prepare building specifications, materials, and finishes
- Attend design and coordination meetings as required
- 5+ years’ experience in residential drafting/design
- Strong ArchiCAD proficiency(essential)
- Background in project home builders, construction, or fast-paced architectural environments
- Proven experience coordinating with consultants (structural, hydraulic, etc.)
- Experience managing or coordinating offshore drafting teams is highly regarded
- Solid understanding of NCC and Australian building standards
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Able to work both independently and within a team
