Hours: Full time (38 hours per week, office based)
Rate:$47 - $49 per hour plus super
In this role, you will provide essential administrative support to the Building Permits and Inspections team, playing a key part in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. You will also support the Building Enforcement Officer by liaising with residents and complainants, managing incoming and outgoing correspondence, and assisting with enforcement-related matters.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing administrative support across permits and inspections
- Managing incoming correspondence through a shared team inbox
- Drafting and issuing correspondence related to investigations and enforcement
- Coordinating and contributing to inspection scheduling
- Delivering high-quality customer service in a fast-paced environment
- Supporting the wider team with general administrative duties as required
- Previous experience working within a local council environment
- Experience using TRIM and/or Authority systems (desirable)
- Strong ability to multitask and manage competing priorities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A customer-focused approach with strong attention to detail
