Join a high-impact initiative focused on transforming data risk and governance practices. We’re seeking a seasoned Business Analyst to lead the development of a strategic business case aimed at uplifting data governance capabilities and reducing regulatory and operational risk.
Over the next six months, you’ll collaborate with senior stakeholders across risk, data, finance, and compliance to define scope, benefits, and funding requirements. If the business case is approved, this role may transition into the delivery phase, offering long-term visibility and impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with stakeholders to gather, validate, and document business requirements for data governance uplift.
- Analyse current-state processes, data risks, and regulatory obligations to inform a robust business case.
- Define scope, benefits, cost estimates, and business impacts to ensure strategic alignment.
- Produce clear documentation including business case inputs, process maps, options analysis, and risk assessments.
- Facilitate workshops and working groups across data, risk, compliance, finance, and IT.
- Prepare executive-ready presentations and materials for governance and steering committees.
- Tertiary qualifications in Business, Information Systems, or a related field; certifications such as CBAP or PMI-PBA are highly regarded.
- Proven experience developing business cases for large-scale data, risk, or governance programs in regulated environments.
- Strong understanding of data governance frameworks, regulatory risk, and compliance processes.
- Ability to translate complex technical and regulatory concepts into clear, actionable business requirements.
- Experience working in agile or hybrid delivery environments with strong facilitation and documentation skills.
- Solid financial and commercial acumen, including cost-benefit and ROI analysis.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with confidence in presenting to senior leadership.
