An award-winning, globally recognised architecture and design studio is seeking a talented Business Development Manager to support the growth of a leading design-led practice. This role will work closely with senior leadership to drive new business opportunities, coordinate submissions, and strengthen industry relationships.
The Role
You’ll play a key role in supporting and delivering business development initiatives, from coordinating bids to managing client relationships and identifying new opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Marketing
- Coordinate and support the preparation of submissions, tenders, and proposals (often to tight deadlines)
- Assist in developing high-quality marketing materials, presentations, and bid content
- Write and edit company profiles, project descriptions, and team bios
- Maintain and manage the CRM/database of clients, consultants, and industry contacts
- Research and identify new business opportunities, sectors, and target clients
- Track and manage potential project opportunities and pipelines
- Collaborate with internal teams (including graphics and PR) to produce compelling collateral
- Support the planning and coordination of events, networking opportunities, and client engagement initiatives
- Attend industry events and represent the business where required
- Proactively contribute ideas to improve engagement and business growth
- Support quality assurance processes in line with ISO standards and internal systems
- Coordinate and attend QA and management review meetings
- Assist in internal and external audits to maintain compliance and accreditation
- Ensure project reviews and key meetings are documented appropriately
- 2–5 years’ experience in a business development, marketing, or similar role (ideally within architecture, design, or professional services)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Proactive, self-motivated, and solutions-focused
- A collaborative team player with a positive attitude
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Willingness to travel interstate when required
