is recruiting for a Business Support Officer
on behalf of a Local Government Department. This role is a temporary position with potential for extension. The Business Services Team provides high quality administrative and program operations support.
About the role:
As a Business Support Officer ,
you will be providing receptionist, business and administration support to a well respected Local Government Department. You will assist with processing of permits, provide quality customer service and stakeholder engagement and ensure the Department remains complaint with all regulations and requirements.

- $38.76 per hour + Super
- Full Time Position - 38 Hours per week
- No Weekend Work - Monday to Friday
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-level customer service to both internal and external stakeholders across all departmental activities.
- Provide administrative support by triaging and actioning customer requests, including coordination of Councillor and Mayoral responses.
- Support specialist areas such as cemeteries and immunisation, with flexibility to work across multiple locations.
- Manage end-to-end processing of permits, licences, and registrations.
- Prepare a variety of documents and materials, and assist with financial and purchasing tasks, including stock control.
- Previous Government experience in Local, State or Federal Government desirable
- Ability to quickly and accurately navigate multiple systems (Tech One experience preferable)
- Well-developed interpersonal and written communication skills
