Contract: 6 months | Immediate Start
Hourly Pay Rate: $45-50 p/h + Super
Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to the Development Services team, helping to ensure Development Applications are processed accurately and in line with legislation and Council policies.
- Support the Building Certification team with a range of administrative tasks relating to Construction Certificates, Occupation Certificates, Complying Development Certificates and Building Inspections.
- Prepare and manage correspondence, reports, records and other documentation relating to Development Applications.
- Assist with website updates and provide administrative support for media and general enquiries when required.
- Work closely with team members and supervisors to ensure administrative processes are efficient and support the day-to-day operations of the team.
- Assist with improving administrative processes, procedures and workflows to help deliver a high level of customer service and ensure Council requirements are met.
- Maintain accurate records, databases, statistics and documentation relating to applications, activities and decisions.
- Respond to customer and internal enquiries, providing information where appropriate or referring enquiries to the relevant team member.
- Develop a strong understanding of Council policies, procedures and relevant legislation to effectively support the team and provide accurate information to customers.
- Undertake other administrative duties as required, within the scope of your skills, experience and training.
Essential:
- 2+ years experience in an business support role within local government or working in a politically sensitive environment
- Working experience with the NSW Planning Portal
- Previous experience with TechOne, Content Manager/TRIM, Authority or Pathway highly regarded
