An industry-leading, construction services-based business is seeking a dynamic and highly experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join its executive leadership team. About the Role:
As CFO, you will serve as a trusted strategic advisor to the CEO and leadership team, playing a key role in financial planning, governance, and business decision-making. You will oversee the financial health of the organisation, ensuring compliance, managing risk, and driving commercial growth through informed financial leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership:
- Provide financial guidance on business growth, strategy, and operational performance.
- Lead financial aspects of mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and long-term investments.
- Develop financial models and scenario planning to support strategic decisions.
- Financial Operations:
- Oversee financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and tax planning.
- Ensure accurate, timely reporting and compliance with statutory requirements.
- Manage relationships with auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies.
- Risk & Compliance:
- Identify and mitigate financial risks.
- Lead external audits and ensure internal controls are effective and compliant.
- Commercial Support:
- Partner with managers on pricing, tenders, and commercial contracts.
- Support major projects through job costing, contract review, and financial analysis.
- Build and maintain relationships with banks, financial institutions, and investors.
- Team Leadership:
- Lead and mentor a dedicated finance team, driving high performance and professional growth.
- Foster a culture of accountability, development, and continuous improvement.
- 10+ years’ experience in senior finance roles, ideally in construction or related fields
- CPA or CA qualification preferred.
- Strong commercial acumen and broad financial expertise across P&L, compliance, tax, risk, and audit.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- Highly motivated, proactive, adaptable, and resilient.
