This role plays a key part in the successful planning, costing, and coordination of complex civil projects. Your precision and attention to detail will contribute directly to effective project delivery through accurate estimating, cost analysis, and efficient subcontractor coordination.
Key responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate cost estimates based on drawings, site information, and specifications
- Support tender preparation, submission, and negotiations
- Identify risks, value engineering, and cost-saving opportunities
- Develop high-quality bid documentation to tight deadlines
- Manage and package subcontractor scopes effectively
- Track actual costs vs. estimates throughout the project
- Confident in first-principles estimating and construction methods
- This role demands the ability to develop estimates from first principles and a deep understanding of construction processes.
- Previous experience in Estimating position within the construction industry
- Solid understanding of construction principles, materials, and methodologies
- Tertiary qualifications in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering or similar equivalent
