What You’ll Be Doing
- Preparing accurate cost estimates from first principles for civil infrastructure projects.
- Working on tenders involving:
- Bridges
- Roadworks
- Stormwater systems
- Utilities
- Structures
- Subdivisions
- Rail infrastructure
- Earthworks
- Supporting the tendering process, including:
- Cost breakdowns
- Construction methodologies
- Non-price tender documentation
- Collaborating with project teams to ensure estimates align with practical construction methods and site conditions.
- Managing multiple tenders and deadlines simultaneously.
- Strong civil estimating background, particularly in bridge and infrastructure projects.
- Experience with first-principles estimating and some hard-dollar estimating exposure.
- Ideally site-based construction experience.
- Ability to prepare non-price tender documentation and methodologies.
- Strong communication, organisation, and attention to detail.
- Project planning software such as Microsoft Project and/or Primavera P6
- Microsoft Office Suite
- Estimating software (experience with Expert Estimation or similar platforms is beneficial)
