The Role
You’ll support the council’s communications function by managing media, creating clear and engaging content, and helping deliver communication and marketing plans.
What you'll be doing:
- Write media releases, statements, and other communication materials
- Create content for digital and traditional channels
- Develop, deliver, and review communication and marketing plans
- Identify and promote positive stories about council services and projects
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in a similar role
- Proven experience creating content and writing social media posts
- Well organised, able to manage deadlines and multiple tasks
- Experience working for local government or a similar environment
