with a strong focus on social media content and video storytelling.
About the role
You’ll create engaging digital content that connects with the local community. This role suits someone who lives and breathes social media, understands trends, and knows how to produce scroll-stopping content
across TikTok, Reels and other platforms.
What you’ll do
- Create and publish social media content, including short-form video
- Manage daily channel activity and community engagement
- Write clear, compelling copy for web, socials and newsletters
- Support media relations, PR messaging and campaign delivery
- Collaborate with internal teams to find stories and promote council initiatives
- Proven experience creating social media and video content
- Confident with editing tools
- Strong writing and storytelling ability
- Enjoys working across multiple platforms and staying ahead of trends
- Experience in public sector or local government is preferred
