is partnering with a local council to find a passionate Community Engagement Officer to join their team on a contract basis.
Do you have a passion for community engagement and a desire to make a real difference?
In this role, you will:
- Assist with the execution of a major council campaign.
- Prepare e-newsletters, promotional material and collateral.
- Schedule and facilitate events such as Pop-Up community engagement sessions.
- Support implementation of community engagement plans and activities.
- Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders
- A tertiary qualification in public relations, social science, communications or a relevant field (or equivalent working experience)
- Experience in developing and implementing Community and Stakeholder Engagement Plans
- A proven track record of monitoring and evaluating engagement outcomes to draw valuable insights
- Experience working within local government and IAP2 certificate is highly desirable
