Public Sector People are partnering with a local council on the Northside of Brisbane/Sunshine Coast to recruit multiple Concrete Finishers to support the Construction and Maintenance team based at the Burpengary Depot.

• This is a temporary labour hire opportunity
• commencing Wednesday 22 October 2025 through to Friday 12 December 2025 + extension
• Full-time hours Monday to Friday, 6:00am to 3:00pm .

• Perform concrete construction, finishing and maintenance works across council projects.
  • Place, level, screed and finish concrete to required standards, including footpaths, kerbs, and drainage infrastructure.
  • Identify and repair defects in civil infrastructure and perform appropriate maintenance work.
  • Operate small plant, hand tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Accurately measure, mix and calculate materials required for daily works.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to deliver high-quality outcomes for the community.
  • Follow workplace health and safety procedures and maintain equipment in good condition.

• Proven experience as a Concrete Finisher or in civil construction/maintenance environments.
  • Sound knowledge of concrete finishing methods such as exposed aggregate, stamped or stencilled work.
  • Ability to read and interpret work instructions, safety documents and site plans.
  • Physically fit and capable of performing manual outdoor work.
  • Team-oriented, reliable and committed to safety and quality workmanship.
