We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Construction Cadet to join a local tea, and gain hands-on experience delivering major fitout and refurbishment projects across the ACT. About the Role
As a Construction Cadet, you will work alongside Project Managers, Site Managers, and Project Engineers, gaining exposure to all aspects of project delivery. You will play a key role in supporting the successful planning, coordination, and execution of commercial construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with project coordination and administration activities
- Support site teams with day-to-day project delivery
- Monitor project progress, documentation, and reporting
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders
- Assist with procurement and contract administration tasks
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental requirements
- Attend site meetings and contribute to project planning activities
- Develop an understanding of construction methodologies and project management processes
- Currently studying or recently completed a degree in Construction Management, Project Management, Engineering, or a related discipline
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Must be an Australian Citizen and able to gain security clearance
