An established and highly regarded commercial builder is seeking an experienced Contract Administrator to join its growing team and play a key role in the successful delivery of large-scale, complex construction projects.
With a strong pipeline of secured work and a reputation for delivering quality outcomes, this is an opportunity to join a builder known for its collaborative culture, repeat clientele and long-term career opportunities. Projects span multi-residential, mixed-use, commercial and specialised developments, typically ranging from $30M - $200M.
We are specifically seeking candidates with Tier 1 or Tier 2 builder experience, who understand the demands of complex construction environments and can confidently manage procurement, financial administration and subcontractor engagement on large-scale builds.
The Opportunity Working closely with the Project Manager and site team, you will take ownership of the commercial administration of projects from procurement through to final accounts.
Key responsibilities include:
- End-to-end contract administration across major construction projects
- Letting and managing subcontract packages
- Preparing scopes of works and procurement schedules
- Reviewing and negotiating subcontract agreements
- Managing project cost reporting, forecasting and variations
- Assessing subcontractor claims and progress payments
- Monitoring budgets and identifying commercial risks/opportunities
- Working closely with project delivery teams to ensure programme and cost objectives are achieved
- Assisting in head contract administration and client reporting
- Proven experience as a Contract Administrator within a Tier 1 or Tier 2 commercial builder
- Strong exposure to large-scale multi-residential, mixed-use or commercial projects
- Experience working on projects valued $100M+
- Strong understanding of contracts, procurement and cost management
- High attention to detail and commercial acumen
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Relevant qualifications in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or similar
