Our client is a well-established commercial builder with an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality projects across the workplace, education, hospitality, retail and mixed-use sectors. Due to continued growth, they are looking to add an experienced Contract Administrator to their team.
The Role
Working closely with the Project Manager, you will be responsible for the commercial management of projects from procurement through to final account, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing, issuing and managing subcontract packages
- Procurement of subcontractors and suppliers
- Reviewing quotations and negotiating subcontract agreements
- Managing project budgets, cost reporting and forecasting
- Processing progress claims, variations and subcontractor payments
- Assisting with contract administration under Australian Standard contracts
- Monitoring project costs and identifying commercial risks
- Liaising with clients, consultants, subcontractors and site teams
- Supporting project delivery from commencement through to completion
- Previous experience as a Contract Administrator within commercial construction
- Experience delivering commercial fit out and/or new build projects
- Strong understanding of procurement, cost control and contract administration
- Knowledge of Australian construction contracts
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a project team
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
