This is a great opportunity for a Contract Administrator with strong procurement, subcontract administration and commercial experience to join an established project team for an initial 3-month contract.
Working closely with the Project Manager and wider site team, you will be responsible for:
- Preparing subcontractor packages, scopes of work, tender documentation and procurement schedules
- Managing the tendering and letting of subcontracts across multiple trades
- Reviewing and administering subcontract agreements and contractual documentation
- Supporting head contract administration, including time and scope entitlements
- Managing subcontractor variations, claims and progress payments
- Preparing and submitting client progress claims
- Reviewing subcontractor progress against works completed on site
- Identifying and preparing variations and potential contractual claims
- Monitoring project costs, budgets and cash flow
- Maintaining procurement schedules and project documentation
- Liaising with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure contractual obligations are met
- Attending variation and commercial review meetings
- Maintaining project records, correspondence, insurances and contractual documentation
- Supporting project risk assessments and design change processes
- 3–6 years' experience as a Contract Administrator within commercial construction
- Experience working across major building or residential developments
- Strong subcontract procurement and contract administration experience
- Sound knowledge of construction contracts, Contract Law and relevant construction legislation
- Strong understanding of construction processes and project delivery
- Experience with CHEOPS, Aconex or similar construction software (training can be provided)
- Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Construction Management, Engineering, Project Management, Building or a related discipline
- Current White Card
- Current First Aid certification
