Are you an experienced Contract Administrator looking to join a highly regarded Tier 1 builder with a strong pipeline of major commercial projects across Canberra?

We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced Contract Administrator to join a growing project team and play a key role in the successful delivery of a major construction project.

The Opportunity
This is an excellent opportunity to join an established construction business with a strong reputation for delivering complex, high-quality projects across the commercial, government and defence sectors.
Working closely with the Project Manager and broader site team, you will take ownership of the commercial and contractual aspects of your project, while gaining exposure to a well-structured and professional project environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage head and subcontractor contracts from procurement through to completion
  • Prepare, review and administer subcontractor packages
  • Manage variations, extensions of time, progress claims and payment schedules
  • Monitor project costs and commercial performance
  • Assist with procurement and subcontractor negotiations
  • Prepare monthly cost reports and forecasting
  • Manage contractual correspondence and documentation
  • Work closely with the Project Manager, Site Manager and wider project team
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, consultants and key stakeholders
  • Ensure contractual obligations and project milestones are effectively managed
About You To be successful in this role, you will have:
  • 3+ years' experience as a Contract Administrator within commercial construction
  • Strong understanding of construction contracts and subcontract administration
  • Experience managing variations, progress claims and EOTs
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Strong commercial acumen and attention to detail
  • The ability to work autonomously while contributing effectively to a project team
  • Relevant construction, engineering or quantity
