The role
Our client is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to lead the commercial and contractual delivery of large-scale, mission-critical data centre projects. Reporting to senior project leadership, you will own the contract from tender handover through to final account, protecting margin and managing risk across the project lifecycle.
Key responsibilities
- Manage head contract and subcontract administration, including variations, EOTs, notices, claims and payment schedules
- Lead subcontract procurement, tender analysis, negotiation and award across civil, structural, mechanical, electrical and fit-out packages
- Prepare and report monthly cost-to-complete, forecasts, cashflow and risk/opportunity registers
- Manage client relationships and commercial negotiations with hyperscale/colocation clients and their consultants
- Oversee delays, disruptions and disputes, and drive commercial close-out and final accounts
- Lead and mentor contract administrators and cost planners
About you
- Tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering or similar
- 10+ years with a Tier 1 or Tier 2 builder, including recent Contracts or Commercial Manager experience
- Proven delivery of data centre or other mission-critical projects (hyperscale, colocation, high-MEP-intensity builds) of $100m+
- Solid grasp of MEP-heavy packages, long-lead equipment procurement and staged handovers
- Strong negotiation, stakeholder and leadership skills
