Remuneration: Grade 18 - $130,674 to $150,275 plus 12% superannuation + leaseback motor vehicle

Public Sector People are partnering with Randwick City Council to recruit a skilled Coordinator Governance. A key leadership role driving Council’s meeting governance, access to information, delegations and compliance frameworks, ensuring integrity and excellence across all decision-making processes.
About the Role
Reporting to the Manager Governance, you will be responsible for:
- Providing expert governance advice and support to senior leaders to ensure effective meetings and compliance
- Coordinating business papers, minute-taking and post-meeting actions for Council, ARIC and RLPP meetings
- Managing and optimising Council’s business paper software, including user support, training and continuous improvement
- Overseeing GIPA processes, record-keeping and statutory reporting
- Maintaining systems for legislative compliance, delegations and reporting to the executive and ARIC
- Developing and reviewing governance policies, frameworks and related projects
- Researching and advising on complex governance issues and legislative matters
- Leading and developing a Governance team and managing related budgets
What You’ll Bring
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline or substantial demonstrated local government governance experience
- Proven expertise in meeting governance, business paper systems and minute-taking
- Strong knowledge of the Local Government Act & Regulations, GIPA Act, PPIPA, Public Interest Disclosures Act and related legislation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to advise executives and Councillors and engage internal/external stakeholders
- Demonstrated capability to design and run compliance, delegations and policy frameworks; sound judgement in sensitive/complex issues
- Leadership experience building a cohesive, customer-focused team and delivering organisation-wide training
