Contract: 3 months | Immediate Start
Hourly Pay Rate: $45 p/h + Super
Responsibilities:
- Respond to inbound customer enquiries via phone, email, and online channels, providing accurate information regarding council services, facilities, rates, waste management, and community programs.
- Record, investigate, and process customer requests, complaints, and service enquiries using council customer relationship management (CRM) systems, ensuring timely resolution.
- Liaise with internal departments, contractors, and external stakeholders to coordinate and follow up on customer requests and service issues.
- Maintain accurate customer records and documentation while ensuring compliance with council policies, privacy requirements, and service standards.
- Provide first-contact resolution wherever possible by assessing customer needs, offering appropriate solutions, and escalating complex matters when required.
- Deliver high-quality customer service by professionally handling difficult or sensitive enquiries, meeting performance targets, and contributing to a positive customer experience.
Essential:
- 2+ years experience in an customer support role within local government or working in a politically sensitive environment
- Previous experience with TechOne, Content Manager/TRIM, Authority or Pathway highly regarded
