This is an excellent opportunity to work on meaningful projects that have a real impact while enjoying a flexible hybrid work arrangement.

About the Role You'll be the trusted cyber security advisor across multiple projects and business units, providing expert guidance on governance, risk, compliance and security best practice. Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert cyber security advice across enterprise projects and operational initiatives.
  • Review solution designs, technical documentation and implementation plans from a security perspective.
  • Conduct cyber security risk and threat assessments and recommend practical mitigation strategies.
  • Provide guidance aligned with recognised security frameworks and industry best practice.
  • Support the development and continuous improvement of security governance, policies and standards.
  • Collaborate with technical teams, project managers and business stakeholders to deliver secure outcomes.
  • Contribute to enterprise Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) initiatives.
About You You'll bring strong experience in cyber security governance, risk management or security architecture, along with the ability to engage confidently with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Ideally you'll have:
  • 5+ years' experience in cyber security, security architecture or information security governance.
  • Strong knowledge of Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) principles.
  • Experience working with frameworks such as ISO 27001, ASD ISM, Essential Eight, NIST CSF, PCI-DSS or similar.
  • Experience conducting security risk assessments and providing security assurance.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working within large enterprise or government environments will be highly regarded.
  • Experience developing or improving Information Security Management Systems (ISMS) is advantageous.
What's on Offer
  • Competitive hourly contract rate.
  • Long-term contract with extension potential.
  • Hybrid working model (approximately 50% office / 50% work from home).
  • Work on enterprise-scale cyber security initiatives.
  • Collaborative, supportive team environment.
  • Opportunity to influence security strategy and improve organisational cyber maturity.
Please note: Applicants must be Brisbane-based (or able to work from Brisbane) and be eligible to complete a Criminal History Check prior to commencement.
