Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Design Coordinator to support the management and coordination of the design process across multiple commercial construction projects.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working between design teams and construction teams, ensuring drawings, documentation, and design packages are coordinated effectively before and during construction.
The Role
Reporting to the Design Manager and working closely with Project Managers and site teams, you will assist with the coordination of consultants and the management of project design documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with design coordination from concept through to construction
- Liaise with architects, engineers, and consultants to manage design deliverables
- Coordinate design documentation, drawings, and specifications
- Support design meetings, workshops, and consultant coordination
- Review drawings to identify buildability and coordination issues
- Manage RFIs and assist with design change processes
- Ensure documentation is issued in line with programme requirements
- Work closely with estimating, project management, and site teams
- Experience as a Design Coordinator, Project Engineer, Architect, or Design Consultant within construction
- Exposure to commercial construction projects preferred
- Strong understanding of construction documentation and design processes
- Excellent organisational and coordination skills
- Confident communicator working with consultants and project teams
- Degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management preferred
