The Opportunity
As Design Manager, you will take ownership of product development workflows and design production, ensuring efficient delivery from concept through to construction. You’ll lead a multidisciplinary team and play a key role in maintaining premium design and delivery standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage end-to-end design workflow processes across NSW and QLD
- Oversee product development, including planning, design detailing, materials, finishes, and specifications
- Ensure statutory approvals, compliance, and design documentation are delivered accurately and on time
- Drive pre- and post-construction detailing to support seamless project delivery
- Develop and implement systems, processes, and reporting frameworks to improve team productivity and performance
- Monitor and respond to regulatory and legislative changes impacting design and construction
- Build and manage a network of consultants and suppliers aligned with high-quality product delivery
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders across construction, development, and strategy teams
- Contribute to design innovation and continuous product improvement initiatives
- Lead, mentor and manage a team including Building Designers, Drafting and Structural Design Managers
- Foster a collaborative, high-performance team culture
- Uphold company values through professionalism, integrity, and accountability
- Drive alignment across teams to ensure consistent delivery and outcomes
- Tertiary qualifications in Architecture, Design, Construction or a related discipline
- Proven experience in a Design Manager or senior leadership role within volume residential building
- Strong track record delivering high-quality housing or masterplanned community outcomes
- Deep understanding of residential construction, compliance, and design documentation
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Strong commercial and financial acumen
- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple workflows and deadlines
- Work with a leading residential developer delivering design-led communities
