The Opportunity The Digital Communications Officer will play an important role in enhancing the organisation’s digital presence and community engagement. Working closely with the Digital Communications Coordinator and internal stakeholders, you will create and manage engaging digital content across multiple platforms.
You will help ensure communications are timely, accessible and engaging, while supporting initiatives, services and community participation through effective digital channels.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and update digital content across websites, social media platforms and e-newsletters
- Create engaging, accessible content that aligns with brand and communication objectives
- Monitor and moderate social media channels and respond to community engagement
- Support digital campaigns and communications initiatives across the organisation
- Use analytics and insights to track content performance and identify improvements
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to promote services, events and initiatives
- Experience managing digital content across websites, social media and online platforms
- Proficiency with content management systems (e.g. WordPress or Drupal) and social media tools such as Sprout Social
- Strong digital writing skills with a focus on clarity, engagement and accessibility
- Understanding of digital accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1) and inclusive design principles
- Experience using digital analytics tools to monitor and improve performance
- Familiarity with basic design tools such as Canva or Adobe Creative Suite
