Due to ongoing growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Drafting Manager to join the team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about quality design, team leadership, and delivering compliant, buildable outcomes within a fast-paced environment.
The Opportunity
In this role, you will take ownership of the drafting function, leading a team of five drafters while ensuring all architectural documentation meets required standards and timelines. You will play a key role in maintaining quality, compliance, and coordination across multiple projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Review, approve and sign off on architectural documentation in line with NCC/BCA requirements
- Lead, mentor and manage a team of 5 drafters, ensuring high performance and development
- Oversee quality control and coordination across all drafting outputs
- Manage compliance across energy reports, engineering, framing, and related documentation
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a drafting role within a residential building environment
- Strong proficiency in Revit
- Proven experience leading or mentoring team members
- Solid understanding of Australian building codes and compliance requirements
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
