Design & Build is seeking an experienced Electrical Supervisor to join a major EPC on a large-scale renewable energy project in VIC.
As an Electrical Supervisor, you will play a critical role in overseeing electrical operations on-site, ensuring that all safety, quality, and compliance standards are strictly adhered to. You will collaborate closely with project teams, subcontractors, and visitors to ensure the safe, efficient, and timely delivery of electrical works.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate high-risk activities and hazards on-site, implementing effective control measures to eliminate or minimize risks.
- Oversee the effective implementation of electrical designs from the M&E project team, ensuring they align with project specifications.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all personnel working under your supervision, enforcing safety protocols and best practices at all times.
- Manage the efficient allocation and supervision of resources, optimizing cost-effectiveness without compromising quality.
- Supervise the daily management and deployment of plant and equipment, ensuring they are utilized effectively and safely.
- Coordinate with the Logistics team to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of materials and equipment required for the project.
- Resolve issues related to design, materials, or management systems, ensuring seamless execution of electrical activities.
- Assist in the planning, monitoring, and completion of work packs, ensuring tasks are executed as planned.
- Oversee that all work is carried out in accordance with specified requirements, construction schedules, and project budgets.
- Address and resolve day-to-day construction coordination challenges in collaboration with the site teams.
- Prepare, issue, and review all construction and safety documentation to ensure full compliance before work commences.
- Ensure adherence to management systems and plans, including those related to quality, environmental, and safety standards.
- Continuously evaluate team and project performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions where necessary.
- Work closely with Superintendents and Engineers to ensure project milestones are met on time and within scope.
- Manage subcontractor relations, addressing issues related to claims, variations, and contract obligations as necessary.
- Trade-based background in electrical construction, or an equivalent field.
- A grade Electrical licence - VIC required
- At least 5 years of experience in supervising and managing construction teams, with a focus on delivering high-quality results on large-scale projects.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to liaise effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build and maintain effective relationships at all levels, both internally and externally.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize competing demands, manage multiple complex tasks simultaneously, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access) and email communication.
