About the Role As the Community Engagement Practitioner, you will:
- Plan and deliver community engagement activities across a variety of council projects and initiatives.
- Develop engagement plans and consultation approaches tailored to project needs.
- Coordinate online and face-to-face engagement activities, including community events.
- Analyse community feedback and prepare high-quality reports and recommendations.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders and communications teams to deliver effective engagement campaigns.
- Support and maintain digital engagement platforms and online consultation tools.
- Build positive relationships with community members, stakeholders and project teams.
- Ensure engagement activities are delivered in line with best-practice community consultation principles.

- Previous experience working within Local Government in a Community Engagement, Communications or Stakeholder Engagement role.
- Demonstrated experience delivering community consultation projects from planning through to reporting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to prepare engaging reports and consultation outcomes.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
- The ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities within tight timeframes.
- Experience using digital engagement platforms and online consultation tools.
- A relevant qualification in Communications, Community Development, Social Sciences or a related discipline (desirable).
- IAP2 certification or equivalent community engagement experience will be highly regarded.
- Immediate start available.
- 3-month contract with the potential for extension.
