A well-established commercial fitout and refurbishment contractor is continuing to experience strong growth across the Sydney and wider NSW market. The business specialises in commercial fitout, refurbishment, hospitality, education, retail, industrial, and workplace construction projects, delivering high-quality projects across both public and private sectors.
With an excellent reputation built over 20+ years, the business has a strong pipeline of secured work across Sydney Metro, Western Sydney, Newcastle, Wollongong, and the ACT, with projects typically ranging from $5M-$30M.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the end-to-end estimating and tendering process across commercial fitout and refurbishment projects, including preparing cost plans, take-offs, subcontractor comparisons, and tender submissions.
- Review tender documentation, drawings, specifications, and scopes to identify project risks, buildability considerations, and value engineering opportunities.
- Coordinate subcontractor and supplier pricing to ensure competitive, accurate, and commercially viable bids across multiple tenders.
- Work closely with the Estimating Manager, Directors, and Operations team during pre-construction phases, including tender meetings, site inspections, and post-tender negotiations.
- Maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants while contributing to procurement strategies, pipeline forecasting, and continuous improvement of estimating systems and processes.
- Proven experience as an Estimator within commercial fitout and refurbishment construction.
- Ideally 2+ years’ estimating experience within the Sydney market.
- Strong exposure to hospitality, retail, office, gym, education, workplace, and industrial fitout projects.
- Experience pricing projects up to approximately $5M+ preferred.
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies, buildability, and interpreting technical drawings/specifications.
- Confident using estimating software and construction systems including Cubit, Procore, EstimateOne, and Excel.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Salary circa $180k + Super DOE
