About the Role
Seeking a Senior Estimator with a strategic mindset and a passion for mentoring others. This is a key position where you'll not only oversee end-to-end estimating for a wide variety of commercial construction projects but also play a pivotal role in leading a small estimating team and improving systems and processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the estimating function and manage tenders from concept to submission
- Mentor and guide junior and intermediate estimators
- Collaborate closely with Directors, Pre-Construction, and Delivery teams
- Build and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors and consultants
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and value engineering options
- Implement best-practice systems to drive accuracy and efficiency
About You
- Proven experience as a Senior Estimator within the commercial construction sector
- Ability to manage and lead a small team
- Strong understanding of the Victorian construction market
- Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills
- Experience across D&C, ECI, and hard dollar tenders
- Proficiency in estimating software such as Buildsoft or similar
- Be part of a high-performing, tight-knit team with strong leadership
- Influence business direction and process improvement
