With consistent project wins and a growing pipeline across Sydney, they are seeking a skilled Estimator to join their pre-construction team.
The Opportunity
This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-driven Estimator to play a key role in tender preparation, cost planning, and procurement across a diverse portfolio of projects ranging from $500K to $10M+.
You’ll work closely with the Directors, Project Managers and site teams to ensure tenders are accurate, competitive and commercially well-positioned. This is a role where your technical knowledge and pricing capability will directly influence project success.
The Role
Reporting to senior management, your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing detailed estimates, tender submissions, and cost plans across D&C fit-out and refurbishment projects
- Performing quantity take-offs and scope reviews from drawings and specifications
- Obtaining, evaluating, and negotiating subcontractor and supplier quotes
- Preparing trade break-downs, comparison schedules and tender qualifications
- Assisting with budget development, early design cost advice, and value engineering
- Maintaining accurate cost data and benchmarking across multiple trade categories
- Working closely with the delivery team to ensure continuity from tender to construction
- Supporting the business with strategy on competitive tendering and market positioning
- 3–6+ years’ experience as an Estimator across D&C commercial fit-out and refurbishment projects
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, trades and materials
- Proficiency with estimating software (CostX, Cubit, Buildsoft or similar)
- Excellent analytical and numerical accuracy with attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and the ability to engage confidently with subcontractors and internal stakeholders
- A proactive, organised operator who enjoys working in a high-trust, team-driven environment
- Salary package up to $150,000 + Super, depending on experience
