Job Description:
They are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Estimator to join their team in Sydney.
As an Estimator, you will play a pivotal role in the project delivery process, ensuring accurate cost estimates and effective cost management throughout the lifecycle of their diverse construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cost Estimation: Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for various construction projects, considering materials, labor, equipment, and overhead costs.
- Budget Management: Monitor project budgets, track expenses, and provide regular reports to project teams and management. Identify cost-saving opportunities and advise on cost-effective strategies.
- Tendering: Prepare and evaluate tender documents, including bills of quantities, to secure competitive bids from subcontractors and suppliers.
- Value Engineering: Identify opportunities for value engineering to optimize project costs without compromising quality.
- Cubit software experience
- Strong tendering and pride development skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Estimator within the construction industry.
- Strong proficiency in construction cost estimating software and tools.
- Excellent knowledge of construction contracts, regulations, and industry standards.
- Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Previous experience with class 2, mixed-use and residential projects is essential
