Contract: 3 months plus | Immediate Start
Hourly Pay Rate: $40 - $50 p/h + Super
Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate and deliver a range of community and civic events, ensuring they align with council objectives and community engagement goals
- Liaise with internal departments, external vendors, community groups and stakeholders to organise logistics such as venues, permits, equipment and event schedules
- Manage event budgets, including tracking expenses, processing invoices and ensuring events are delivered within approved financial limits
- Coordinate event promotion and communications, working with marketing teams to increase attendance and community participation
- Oversee on-site event operations, including set-up, staff and volunteer coordination, risk management and post-event evaluation and reporting
Essential:
- 2+ years experience in an events position within local government or working in a politically sensitive environment
- Previous experience with TechOne, Content Manager/TRIM, Authority or Pathway highly regarded
