Events Officer – Council | Melbourne’s North East
$67 per hour + super | 2–3 days per week | 3-month temporary role
*MUST have 5 years’ events experience in local or state government in Events*
A council in Melbourne’s North East is seeking an experienced Events Officer
to deliver key civic and community events including the Annual Grant Celebration, Community Awards, and Australian Citizenship Ceremonies.
What you’ll do:
- Plan, coordinate, and deliver council events end-to-end.
- Manage budgets, approvals, logistics, and compliance requirements.
- Work closely with stakeholders, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Apply aged care industry knowledge to problem-solving and advocacy.
- Minimum 5 years’ events experience in local or state government.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and organisational skills.
- Confident in managing high-profile events and resolving issues on-site.
