About the Role
With more than 10 years of experience in the commercial construction space, our client is a leader in building commercial projects from concept through to completion. Our client is established in the Central Coast and delivers projects across Sydney and regional Australia of various values.
As the Financial Controller, you will report directly into the business leaders as the business expands throughout their continual growth plan. You will also have the opportunity to be an integral part of the executive team and provide financial insights to key stakeholders.
Your responsibilities as a Financial Controller will include but not be limited to:
- Coordination of strategic financial plan for the business Group and its management team including income, expense, insurance coverage, business objectives, risk tolerance and all other strategic elements
- Report and maintenance of: Cashflow, WIP spreadsheet, Business Summary, P&L, Balance sheet, End of project review, business performance - budget vs actual etc. for all projects
- Business forecasting and budgeting
- Liaise with external accounts, solicitors, auditors and insurance providers
- Perform KPI reviews
- Annual review and maintenance of business contract
- Financial Analysis
- Audits
- Expenses
- BAS preparation
- Payroll
- AP / AR
To be considered for the position of Financial Controller you will have:
- Substantial experience within a Finance Manager / Financial Controller position, ideally for companies upwards of $50mil turnover
- CPA qualification preferred
- MUST have experience working in a construction business
- Proven experience liaising with internal and external stakeholders
- Exceptional communication skills
- MS Excel proficient and great with systems
